Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the technological infrastructure of our organization. You will be responsible for providing technical support to both staff and operations, ensuring all IT systems run smoothly, efficiently, and securely. Your role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network configurations, and ensuring that system performance meets the organizational needs. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and end-users. You will also be involved in delivering training and supporting users to make better use of our IT resources, thereby enhancing their productivity and efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal staff on IT hardware and software issues.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to network connectivity.
  • Conduct regular maintenance to ensure network reliability and system efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across various IT systems.
  • Install and update software and system applications as needed by the organization.
  • Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and best practice guides.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to IT support requests and inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of installation and configurations.
  • Operate with a high level of ethical standards in handling sensitive data.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure all systems align with company goals.
  • Provide training and support to users to maximize their use of IT tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a related role.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
