Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the technology that keeps operations running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for resolving operational problems or technical issues, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. Your problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical staff will be essential as you troubleshoot, escalate, and document issues across our network, hardware, and software platforms. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support for technical issues both remotely and onsite.
  • Maintain, monitor, and efficiently manage IT systems and ensure their optimal operation.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems, software, and network equipment.
  • Identify, document, and track technical issues and work with users to resolve them promptly.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining systems and technical documentation for processes and procedures.
  • Perform routine software updates, security checks, and data backups as needed.
  • Offer ongoing assistance and training to staff on the effective use of IT resources.
  • Coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software.
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions, ensuring security policies are upheld.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify any potential computer or network vulnerabilities.
  • Support the deployment and implementation of new applications and system enhancements.
  • Participate in IT projects and contribute ideas for technology improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical support role within an IT environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and network configuration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tech issues clearly.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
