Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company’s IT systems. You will serve as the first point of contact for our employees experiencing technical issues, providing expert assistance to resolve their problems promptly and efficiently. Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring new systems, and maintaining our current IT infrastructure. You will help in identifying and implementing technology solutions to improve operational efficiency. You must possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and superior communication skills to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Your attention to detail and passion for technology will ensure that our IT systems are optimized, and our employees have the support they need to perform their roles effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users with hardware and software issues.
  • Respond swiftly to queries and offer solutions to resolve customer problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, both software and hardware-related.
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions across various systems and platforms.
  • Document procedures and FAQs for common technical issues to simplify support processes.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to enhance the implementation and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Schedule and perform repairs on faulty hardware components and peripherals.
  • Assist in inventory management by maintaining records of equipment and software licenses.
  • Train new employees on the organization’s IT systems and best practices for usage.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s IT security policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, ideally in IT support or help desk.
  • Strong understanding of computing systems, hardware, software, and networking.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff members.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software is necessary.
  • Familiarity with system security practices and data privacy regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
