Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist at our company, you will be the first point of contact for our staff and customers who are experiencing technical issues. Your primary responsibility will be to provide prompt and efficient support, by diagnosing and resolving technical problems and ensuring issues are addressed promptly. You will work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, maintain our IT infrastructure, and provide technical support for our ongoing IT projects. Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology systems, enabling our team to work efficiently and effectively. This position will suit someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees and customers via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on workstations and servers.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using our ticketing system.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new IT equipment and software applications.
  • Participate in the development of IT support processes and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT staff for resolution.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and updates on all company technology systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for IT system usage.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to troubleshoot network connectivity problems.
  • Support ongoing IT projects by providing technical insights and assistance.
  • Assist in maintaining network security by enforcing policies and updating systems.
  • Document technical procedures and user manuals for future reference and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role required.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS operating systems and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with computer hardware, networking, and software configuration required.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong customer service focus.
  • Proficient with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and IT documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
