Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our IT infrastructure. You will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to daily activities. Your role will involve working collaboratively with other IT team members to provide comprehensive support across various technological platforms. You must possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen ability to diagnose IT problems effectively. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users experiencing IT issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to address complex technical issues swiftly.
  • Manage and monitor ticketing systems to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in developing IT policies and procedures to streamline support operations.
  • Conduct IT training sessions to improve system utilization and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and end-user guides.
  • Ensure consistent security protocols are followed to protect company data and assets.
  • Support server and network infrastructure under the direction of senior IT staff.
  • Perform upgrades and updates to ensure systems comply with the latest standards.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss and plan future IT strategies and implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in IT support or related role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and common office software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA is desirable.
