Job Description

As an IT Support Associate, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the technology infrastructure of our organization runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be the first line of defense in tackling technical issues encountered by employees, thereby ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and problem-solving ability to effectively assist in hardware and software troubleshooting. The IT Support Associate will work closely with other IT professionals to escalate issues and contribute towards the development and implementation of IT solutions. The role invites proactive individuals who can diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions quickly. This position will also require the maintenance and management of IT resources to ensure all systems are running at optimal levels.


Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to technical support requests from employees and customers.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide support for network connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of computer systems and applications.
  • Maintain an accurate record of IT support tickets and resolved issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to provide comprehensive support solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and IT best practices.
  • Ensure data security and integrity by following organizational guidelines.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on best practices for utilizing IT resources.
  • Contact and coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized IT service needs.
  • Implement new software and hardware installations with minimal disruption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices.
