Job Description

The IT Pre-Sales Engineer plays an essential role in the information technology and sales landscape. This professional acts as the technical liaison between the company’s sales team and potential clients. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, creating proposals, and illustrating how our IT solutions align with customer needs. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure the technical specifications meet client demands and also with the product development team to refine offerings. As an IT Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving sales, educating customers about product capabilities, and addressing any technical concerns that may arise during the sales process. Your expertise and communication skills will be key to developing strong client relationships and securing long-term contracts, contributing significantly to the company's bottom line.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and understand client needs.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Assist in the creation of detailed proposals and bid documentation.
  • Coordinate with product managers to ensure offerings meet client requirements.
  • Respond to technical queries from clients and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in sales meetings, offering insight into product capabilities and specifications.
  • Provide feedback from clients to the engineering team for product improvements.
  • Support post-sales activities to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct on-site or online product demonstrations showcasing unique features and benefits.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, ensuring our solutions stay competitive and relevant.
  • Document and report on sales processes and client interactions to improve future engagements.
  • Train and support the sales team on new technologies and product updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in creating detailed technical documentation and proposals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and product demonstrations as required.
