Job Description

An IT Pre-Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting sales teams and potential clients in the evaluation of complex technology products and solutions. Acting as a bridge between the technical team and sales prospects, the IT Pre-Sales Engineer provides critical insights, builds custom demos, and helps translate technical specifications into business benefits that meet customer needs. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and provide tailored support.
  • Develop and deliver engaging product demonstrations to potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Engage with customers to gather technical requirements and address their technology concerns.
  • Create and present detailed proposals that outline value propositions and technical solutions.
  • Assist in crafting responses to RFPs and RFIs, focusing on product capabilities.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure product configurations meet client needs effectively.
  • Communicate potential issues or unique requests to the product management team for resolution.
  • Continuously update technical knowledge to reflect changes in product offerings and industry trends.
  • Play an active role in customer meetings, workshops, and trade shows to promote solutions.
  • Provide feedback to the development team for new product enhancements based on client needs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to better position company solutions in the market.
  • Support post-sales activities by facilitating smooth transition to the implementation teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in a similar pre-sales or technical role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and network solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively in technical scenarios.
  • Experience with crafting proposals and delivering technical presentations to clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales and technical teams to achieve business goals.
