Job Description

The IT Pre-Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in the sales process, acting as the technical and product expert to support the sales team in recommending IT products, solutions, and services to potential customers. This individual is responsible for understanding customer needs, creating tailored IT solutions, and effectively communicating the benefits and features of these solutions. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a knack for understanding complex business issues and aligning them with IT products and services. An IT Pre-Sales Engineer works in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure the proposed solutions accurately meet the client's technical and business requirements. This position is critical in facilitating engagement and rapport with clients, ensuring technical credibility, and ultimately driving the closing of sales opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Design and develop product configurations that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Attend meetings with potential customers to determine technical and business requirements.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate manner, supporting the sales process.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to keep the team informed of competitive advances.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, including detailed technical specifications and cost estimates.
  • Work closely with the development team to deliver customized solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Provide ongoing support and product training to end users and customers.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's offerings and the competitive landscape.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and customer seminars as a subject matter expert.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials for technical solutions and support product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales or technical support role within the IT industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT products, services, and solutions, including software and hardware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on technical presentations.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation, including technical specifications and proposals.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex client requirements and provide solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve sales objectives and deadlines.
