Job Description

The IT Manager is a pivotal position within any organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the company's information technology infrastructure. This role involves coordinating IT staff, managing projects, ensuring network security, and aligning IT strategies with the company's goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and strategic thinking skills. They will spearhead the adoption of new technologies and optimize the existing IT processes to improve operational efficiency. Additionally, they will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a variety of IT-related issues, ensuring high availability and integrity of the digital assets of the organization. Excellent communication skills will be essential in bridging communication gaps between the technical team and other departments, translating complex IT terminology into insightful guidelines and solutions for the entire organization.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the IT department's daily operations and staff activities.
  • Coordinate and manage software and hardware installation and upgrades efficiently.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures systematically.
  • Evaluate and improve IT infrastructure to optimize operational performance regularly.
  • Manage the security and functionality of the corporate digital assets continuously.
  • Foster relationships with vendors and manage contracts for IT supplies and services.
  • Ensure data backup, disaster recovery plans, and emergency protocols are in place.
  • Monitor IT systems to detect and resolve issues before they affect productivity.
  • Develop and control the IT budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to business needs.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand and support IT requirements effectively.
  • Provide training to staff on the effective use of software and IT solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or closely related field is required.
  • Proficiency in managing networks, databases, and enterprise software applications is needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on facilitating organizational technology needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of IT professionals effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection procedures is mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions.
