Ali & Sons Capital Management is looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Investment Associate (M&A) to support the evaluation and execution of M&A, direct investment, and strategic investment opportunities across the Group. 
 

The role will work closely with senior management, investment partners, advisors, and external stakeholders across transaction execution, private market investments, and portfolio management.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end execution of M&A, direct investment, and strategic transactions, including sourcing, screening, evaluation, and execution.
• Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, LBO, transaction IRR, valuation, and sensitivity analyses, to assess investment opportunities and risks.
• Conduct and coordinate financial, commercial, operational, tax, and legal due diligence.
• Prepare investment memoranda, valuation analyses, and transaction materials for Investment Committee and senior management.
• Support deal structuring, commercial negotiations, and transaction execution alongside internal teams and external advisors.
• Research and evaluate private market fund managers across Buyout, Growth, Venture, Credit, and Infrastructure strategies.
• Conduct fund manager due diligence, including track record, strategy, portfolio construction, governance, and fund terms.
• Monitor existing fund and direct investments, including NAV, distributions, IRR, and overall portfolio performance.
• Maintain investment dashboards and provide insights on portfolio trends, risks, and performance.
• Build relationships with investment banks, advisors, fund managers, co-investors, and other market participants.
• Track M&A activity, market trends, valuation benchmarks, and relevant sector developments to support investment decision-making.
• Support investment meetings, conferences, and selected industry events.
   

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or a related investment role.
• CFA, CAIA, or other qualification is preferred.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis, and due diligence skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg, or similar investment platforms is an advantage.
