About the Role

The Internal Compliance Specialist will support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Miral Experiences Internal Compliance Framework and Compliance Management System. The role will work closely with business units, shared services functions, and Compliance Champions to ensure alignment with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, governance expectations, and internationally recognized standards such as ISO 37301 and ISO 31000.

You will be responsible for conducting compliance risk assessments, compliance reviews, monitoring activities, remediation tracking, and compliance awareness initiatives while maintaining objectivity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and enhancement of the Compliance Management System aligned with ISO 37301 and governance frameworks.

Conduct compliance risk assessments, gap assessments, and compliance maturity reviews.

Prepare compliance documentation and evidence for audits, assessments, and certification activities.

Facilitate compliance risk workshops and maintain compliance risk registers and action plans.

Monitor regulatory developments and governance risks impacting the business.

Conduct compliance reviews and monitoring activities across functions including:

  • Procurement
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Legal
  • Administration
  • Other Shared Services Functions

Perform walkthroughs, sample testing, documentation reviews, and evidence validation.

Identify compliance gaps, policy breaches, control weaknesses, and process improvement opportunities.

Prepare compliance reports, findings, recommendations, and management action plans.

Coordinate and support the Compliance Champions Network.

Deliver compliance training, awareness sessions, and communication campaigns.

Track remediation activities and validate corrective actions before closure.

Prepare compliance dashboards, management reports, metrics, and committee updates.

Support special reviews, investigations, and compliance-related projects.

What Were Looking For

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or a related field.
  • Professional certification or progress towards qualifications such as: 
    • CIA
    • CPA
    • ACCA
    • CFE
    • CISA
    • CRMA
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as: 
    • COSO
    • ISO 37301
    • ISO 37001
    • Other compliance and control frameworks

Preferred

  • Experience supporting compliance framework implementation and change management initiatives.
  • Experience designing and delivering compliance training and awareness programs.
  • Exposure to hospitality, entertainment, leisure, theme parks, government-related entities, or complex multi-site environments.

Experience

Essential

  • 5-7 years of experience in: 
    • Internal Audit
    • Compliance Assurance
    • Risk Management
    • Internal Controls
    • Governance
    • Forensic Reviews
  • Experience conducting reviews across Procurement, Finance, HR, or Shared Services functions.
  • Strong background in control testing, walkthroughs, issue tracking, and remediation follow-up.
  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, findings summaries, and management updates.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders while handling confidential information.

Preferred

  • Experience within leisure, entertainment, hospitality, theme parks, attractions, or government-related organizations.
  • Experience with ERP, HR, Finance, Procurement, or case management systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
