Job Summary

The Internal Compliance Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the Compliance Function by delivering day-to-day compliance activities while showcasing initiative to pinpoint and improve operational efficiencies. You will collaborate closely with the Compliance team to identify and rectify non-compliance within designated policies and procedures. Additionally, you will liaise with various departments to drive forward-thinking compliance programs and initiatives. This role demands a mix of diligence, proactive thinking, and strong analytical skills to ensure regulatory adherence and operational integrity across the organization.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surprise cash counts, float checks, and vault counts across company-owned and/or operated theme parks.
• Perform periodic stock counts across retail outlets and warehouse locations.
• Conduct stock checks and review wastage within F&B operations.
• Review F&B and Retail refunds, voids, and wastage reports.
• Support compliance investigations and fact-finding reviews.
• Perform random checks to ensure ride operators follow established safety procedures.
• Monitor ride maintenance schedules to ensure timely execution.
• Assist in designing and developing compliance monitoring dashboards using key risk indicators and metrics.
• Review compliance dashboards and report on exceptions.
• Prepare timely and accurate compliance reports.
• Provide administrative support to the Compliance department.
• Travel between parks and attractions as required.
• Support additional compliance-related tasks as assigned.
  
  

Note: The role will primarily be assigned to one or more parks, with potential rotation based on departmental requirements.

Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Completed or in final stages of CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) qualification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Internal Audit role
  
  

Desirable

• Professional certifications such as CISA, ACFE, CIMA, or ACCA
• Experience within a Big 4 firm
• Experience in hospitality, leisure, or theme park internal audit environments
