About The Role

As an Internal Compliance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Internal Compliance Manager by executing day-to-day compliance tasks while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement. This dynamic role requires collaboration across the Compliance Function to detect policy and procedural non-compliance, ensuring adherence to established standards. You will work closely with colleagues and management in other departments to drive compliance initiatives, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and risk mitigation across Miral’s theme parks, retail outlets, and F&B areas.

What Youll Do

Compliance Monitoring & Investigations

• Conduct surprise cash counts, float checks, and vault audits at Miral-owned and operated theme parks to ensure financial accuracy and security.
• Perform periodic stock counts in retail outlets and warehouse locations, reviewing inventory accuracy and wastage in F&B operations.
• Assist in compliance investigations, collaborating with the Internal Compliance Manager to address potential violations or risks.
• Execute random checks to verify adherence to safety protocols by ride operators and monitor routine maintenance schedules for compliance.
  
  

Data & Reporting

• Develop and maintain compliance monitoring dashboards using key risk parameters and metrics, leveraging tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Review and analyze compliance dashboards, reporting exceptions and trends to leadership for proactive risk management.
• Prepare timely, accurate reports and administrative documentation to support departmental objectives.
  
  

Operational Support

• Travel between parks/attractions as required, adapting to rotational assignments based on departmental needs.
• Assist with ad-hoc compliance tasks and initiatives to address emerging risks or operational gaps.
  
  

What Were Looking For

Essential

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• Completion or near-completion of an internal audit qualification (e.g., Certified Internal Auditor - CIA).
• 3+ years of experience in an Internal Audit role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and self-motivation.
• Experience in report writing and relationship development.
• Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
  
  

Desirable

• Certifications such as CISA, ACFE, CIMA, or ACCA (any one).
• Experience in Big 4 Hospitality, leisure, or theme park internal audit environments.
