Interface Manager

Job Purpose

The PMC Interface Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all technical and organizational interfaces between the Client, PMC team, EPC Contractors, licensors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures seamless communication, timely resolution of interface issues, and effective coordination to achieve project objectives while maintaining compliance with ADNOC standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project Interface Management Plan in accordance with client and project requirements.
  • Identify, register, monitor, and close all internal and external project interfaces using an Interface Register.
  • Coordinate interfaces between FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations teams.
  • Act as the primary focal point between client, PMC, EPC Contractors, licensors, vendors, and other stakeholders for interface-related matters.
  • Organize and lead regular interface coordination meetings, ensuring timely follow-up of action items.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables from multiple disciplines are effectively coordinated to avoid conflicts and delays.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS, and design review workshops related to interface issues.
  • Monitor interface risks and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with project management and engineering teams.
  • Support project planning by identifying interface-driven schedule risks and coordinating mitigation measures.
  • Ensure all interface changes are managed through the approved Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Coordinate brownfield interfaces and tie-in activities with operating facilities while ensuring safe execution.
  • Work closely with project controls to monitor interface milestones and ensure timely completion.
  • Review EPC contractor interface management procedures and monitor compliance with project requirements.
  • Facilitate coordination between engineering disciplines including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, and HSE.
  • Prepare interface status reports, KPI dashboards, and management presentations for project leadership and client.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international engineering codes, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Master's degree or Project Management certification is an advantage.
  • PMP certification is desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
  • Minimum 10 years in PMC, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC project environments.
  • Mandatory experience on ADNOC projects.
  • Strong practical experience managing interfaces for Gas Processing Plants, Gas Gathering Systems, or Upstream Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple EPC Contractors and engineering disciplines on large-scale projects.
  • Experience in brownfield modifications, tie-ins, and operational interface management is highly desirable.
