Kindly Note: We are currently in a stage bidding for a Water Transmission project and are optimistic about being awarded the contract. In preparation, we have initiated the process of reviewing, shortlisting, and interviewing potential candidates to ensure readiness. Upon confirmation of the project being awarded, we will begin mobilizing the selected candidates to commence project execution.

Job Purpose

The Interface Engineer will oversee the Interface Management requirements on the Water Transmission Scheme.

This is a PMC role, and there will be multiple Supervision Consultants and EPC`s appointed directly by the Client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stakeholder and interface management requirements on the large-scale water transmission project in Abu Dhabi.

This role involves managing technical and functional coordination between systems, disciplines, and multiple contractors. Also, stakeholder engagement, communication, oversight of regulatory compliance, as well as strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Development and implementation of a program wide Interface Management plans and processes to effectively manage the project requirements .

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage project interfaces between various DELIVERY CONTRACTORS, SUPERVISION CONSULTANTS and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain an interface management plan, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across all six lots.
  • Monitor and resolve interface-related issues to prevent delays or disruptions to the project schedule.
  • Coordinate the integration of design, construction, and commissioning activities across disciplines.
  • Facilitate interface meetings and maintain detailed records of decisions, actions, and progress.
  • Ensure that interface activities comply with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project management plans, processes and procedures.
  • Reviews supervision consultant/contractors schedules for authority approvals duration accuracy
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors project progress and team performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the project plans.
  • Prepare and present regular project stakeholder / interface reports to senior management and the client, detailing progress, challenges and solutions etc.
  • Guide and mentor project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to maintain project support and mitigate any concerns.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in projects
  • Proven experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in interface management tools and collaborative platforms like BIM, Aconex, or MS SharePoint.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Abu Dhabi authorities approval requirements and processes.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
