Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Intensive Care Consultant to join our dedicated critical care team. This role involves providing expert medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), leading multidisciplinary teams, and driving improvements in patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

As an Intensive Care Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive care of patients with life-threatening conditions, coordinating treatments, and mentoring junior healthcare staff. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with patients families and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist clinical care and management of critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and use diagnostic tools to guide care decisions
  • Supervise, educate, and support junior medical and nursing staff
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients families regarding treatment plans and patient progress
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with current medical license
  • Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or related specialty
  • Minimum of 5 years ICU experience
  • Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced critical care settings
