Job Purpose

Perform instrumentation maintenance tasks on safety and non-safety related Systems, Structures and Components as prescribed to effectively maintain the plant and ensure high equipment reliability and performance. Perform STs/PTs and PMs in accordance with the surveillance and PM programs.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities:

• Perform instrumentation maintenance job tasks in a timely manner and with quality to achieve operational readiness and to operate with the highest level of safety and reliability.
• To ensure the appropriate functioning, the following instrumentation maintenance are maintained and overseen:
• The containment equipment, specifically the reactor protection system, engineered safety future actuation system, radiation monitoring system, seismic monitoring system, and the control, monitor, and protection instruments for all containment related systems.
• The Balance of Plant (BOP) I&C equipment, specifically the turbine building open/close cooling water system, plant water treatment system, instrument air system, plant Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide, & Nitrogen gas treatment system, auxiliary steam system, etc.
• Review work packages for operation and outage maintenance activities to ensure and improve the quality of the work packages.
• Perform proper and timely preparation and staging of instrumentation maintenance work activities including the submission of procurement requests for equipment spare parts and special tools to ensure instrumentation maintenance activities are properly resourced.Consolidate the list of spare parts and secure critical spare parts to ensure system operability.
• Attend pre- and post-job briefings and oversee maintenance teams performing tasks to ensure alignment with the maintenance standards and procedures in Nawah.
• Conduct periodic and surveillance tests to confirm efficient plant instrumentation system performance or identify deficiencies.
• Review equipment master list and requests to incorporate in Operation Management System (OMS) to improve knowledge of the implemented programs.
• Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) program in accordance with the program requirements and guidelines to ensure plant safety and reliability.
• Utilize the Corrective Action Program (CAP) to identify plant deficiencies and improve performance.
• Support in the production of high standard self-assessments to provide for useful self-criticality and continuous improvement.
• Execute troubleshooting process on I&C systems and equipment to ensure that issues are resolved correctly and in a timely manner.
• Comply with Maintenance Code of Conduct procedures and guidelines to ensure the safety and reliability of the plant.
  
  

• Verify that all work carried out is of the highest standards of safety and quality, and in compliance with the department and company-wide quality assurance program, to effectively support safe and reliable plant operation.
• Participate in continuous learning and application of industry best practices to maintain the highest quality of maintenance workmanship.
• Identify and respond to maintenance quality related issues and plant equipment deficiencies to line management to support rapid resolution of quality issues.
  
  

• Ensure management expectations on the Conduct of Maintenance are implemented and adhered to.
• Provide training feedback on program effectiveness through evaluation of performance to ensure a high quality of training and qualification program.
  
  

• Support outage and/or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.
  
  

• High School Certification.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
  
  

• Bachelors Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
