The College of Communication and Media Sciences at Zayed University is seeking dynamic and innovative individuals to teach communication courses on its Abu Dhabi Campus starting January 2027.

Candidates should be able to teach core skills in creative content development, visual and digital storytelling, and media production across traditional, digital and emerging platforms. The concentatrion in Media Production and Storytelling equips students with the creative, technical and critical skills needed to develop compelling narratives and produce engaging multimedia content for diverse audiences. Prospective candidates are expected to demonstrate a proven record of teaching experience that meets international standards along with professional expertise in relevant fields. Scholarly or creative activity in the area of specialization is also valued.

The College of Communication and Media Sciences is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC), and the International Advertising Association accredits its Integrated Strategic Communications concentration.

The College offers a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Sciences with concentrations in:

• Integrated Strategic Communications
• Media Production and Storytelling
• Tourism and Cultural Communications

The College seeks full-time faculty at the rank of Instructor/Assistant or Associate Professor to teach in its Media Production and Storytelling concentrations with assignments beginning Spring 2027. The search will remain open until positions are filled.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold MA or PhD in Communication, Journalism or Media Sciences or a related field. Applicants with Masters in Fine Arts with a specialization in Film, Video Production, Digital and/or New Media will be also considered. Terminal degrees from QS-ranked universities recognized or equalized by the UAE Ministry of Education are highly preferred.

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Excellence in teaching and scholarship.
• A record of teaching experience that meets international standards with a minimum of 3 years experience in tertiary education.
• Professional expertise and/or scholarly or creative activity in the relevant field.

Preferred qualifications:

• Industry and practical experience in the region.
• Experience teaching in an English as a Second/Foreign Language environment
• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English.
