Works Inspector (Traffic)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Works Inspector (Traffic) to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and inspect daily site operations related to traffic management and construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct thorough inspections of traffic management and construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Coordinate with the construction teams to ensure smooth execution of traffic management works, such as road signage, traffic signals, and pavement markings.
• Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with traffic management works.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for traffic management works.
• Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that traffic management components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic management and construction inspection, including at least 5 years in a consultant firm in an inspection role on large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, intersections, and traffic systems.
• Strong understanding of traffic management and construction standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and inspection reporting software.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check construction work for accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple inspection activities simultaneously.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other traffic management design software.
