Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Indian Chef to join our culinary team and bring authentic Indian flavors to our restaurant's offerings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional Indian cuisine and cooking techniques, as well as a flair for creating innovative dishes that appeal to our diverse clientele. Our Indian Chef will be responsible for maintaining the authenticity of our menu while also introducing new and exciting dishes that reflect regional specialties of India. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, maintaining traditional flavor and presentation.
  • Create menus that reflect regional Indian cuisines and flavors appealing to our customers.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met and maintained.
  • Manage inventory and order ingredients, ensuring a cost-effective approach to supplies.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and kitchen best practices.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management to develop seasonal and specialty menus.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Experiment with new recipes while staying true to traditional Indian cooking principles.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during high demand periods to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage food storage and adhere to culinary hygiene standards and practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to control food costs and minimize waste.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through interactions with diners and response to feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Ability to create appealing and authentic Indian menus and dishes.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills within the kitchen environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and kitchen safety regulations and practices.
  • Proficient in managing kitchen operations during peak dining hours effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to work with kitchen staff and restaurant management.
