Job Description

As an HVAC Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating sales opportunities in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. You will work closely with clients to understand their HVAC needs, recommend appropriate systems, and secure sales while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.


  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess clients' HVAC requirements and understand their specific needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to clients.
  • Prepare customized HVAC system proposals, including equipment recommendations, specifications, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create accurate and compliant proposals.
  • Present proposals to clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Actively pursue sales opportunities and generate leads through prospecting and networking.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales contracts, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Close sales and secure purchase orders or contracts.
  • Stay updated on the latest HVAC products, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Provide training and product demonstrations to clients and internal teams as needed.
  • Offer technical support to clients before, during, and after sales.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve any product or installation issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions and sales progress.
  • Generate sales reports and forecasts for management.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and warranty claims promptly and professionally.


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in HVAC sales, engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in using HVAC software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits.
