Job Description

The role of a Human Resources Officer is critical to the organization’s overall operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. Tasked with supporting the management team, HR officers manage the day-to-day human resources tasks and implement HR strategies aligned with business needs. The position involves recruiting, employee relations, compensation and benefits management, performance management, talent management, and, importantly, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to. As an HR Officer, you will serve as a bridge between employees and management, fostering a productive work environment through effective communication. You will also take part in identifying training and development needs and facilitate professional growth opportunities for the workforce. A crucial part of the role is to ensure compliance with legal HR standards and regulations, safeguarding the company’s legal standing. This dynamic and multifaceted position requires a combination of interpersonal skills, administrative capabilities, and strategic understanding.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to bring in high-caliber talent.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program designed to motivate and retain employees.
  • Assess training needs and monitor training programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management operations to avoid any penalties.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development of engaged employees.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to maintain a clear organizational structure.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Coordinate and oversee administrative tasks such as payroll and employee records management.
  • Facilitate an inclusive, positive company culture that encourages diversity and equity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Proven working experience as HR Officer or equivalent level with successful case studies.
  • People-oriented and results-driven with excellent leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of HR systems, databases, and proficiency in HR software applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage relationships effectively.
  • Strong decision-making skills coupled with competence to build and manage interpersonal relationships.
