Job Description

A Human Resources Officer plays a pivotal role in managing the workforce of a company, ensuring that the organization has an effective and well-cared-for team. Tasked with both strategic and administrative duties, HR Officers are responsible for a wide array of functions from hiring, training, and evaluating employees to maintaining employee relations and ensuring legal compliance. Balancing these aspects, HR Officers strive to support the ambitious goals of the business while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a nuanced understanding of human behavior in a professional setting, exceptional communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Human Resources Officer, you will collaborate with various departments to optimize HR processes and assist in crafting policies that promote a high-performance environment.


Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure optimal staff levels.
  • Support current and future business needs through development and engagement programs.
  • Perform employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.
  • Manage and oversee the annual performance review process for all employees.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement processes for HR systems and records management.
  • Advocate for employee engagement programs and spearhead related activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop succession plans within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or other HR positions for a minimum of two years.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices is required.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills and behavioral understanding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex HR issues.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, etc.).
