Job Description

An HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Executive is a crucial role in ensuring a company's adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. They are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSEQ policies and strategies to minimize risks and improve performance in these areas. This position requires a deep understanding of regulations and processes to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. The HSEQ Executive works closely with different departments to ensure compliance with local and international laws, workplace best practices, and company policies, fostering a proactive HSEQ culture across the organization. They are instrumental in training staff, conducting audits, and leading initiatives to encourage continuous improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSEQ policies and strategies for organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international HSEQ standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate compliance and performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on HSEQ best practices and regulations.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and nearmisses to identify root causes.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to HSEQ processes and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive HSEQ initiatives and improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze HSEQ metrics, suggesting improvements for performance enhancement.
  • Maintain a risk management approach to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead the organization in building a proactive and positive HSEQ culture.
  • Advise management on HSEQ matters and strategies for risk reduction.
  • Support emergency planning and response activities as part of HSEQ responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an HSEQ role or similar position.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations and HSEQ standards.
  • Certified in relevant HSEQ qualifications such as NEBOSH, ISO lead auditor.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using HSEQ management software and Microsoft Office suite.
