Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to join our dynamic team. As an HSE Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe working environment by implementing, monitoring, and managing health and safety protocols. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with regulations and standards, reducing health and safety risks, and promoting a culture of health and safety awareness within the company. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in resolving potential hazards, and have a genuine commitment to the well-being of all employees. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies for the organization.
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify workplace hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions and emergency drills for all staff.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate safe practices into daily operations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of safety systems and recommend improvements.
  • Act as a point of contact for safety issues and provide expert advice.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance to senior management regularly.
  • Promote health and safety awareness through campaigns and workshops.
  • Manage and maintain the documentation related to health and safety issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HSE role or similar position.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and legal guidelines in the industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks.
  • Effective communication skills for training and advising all levels of staff.
  • Certification in OSHA or NEBOSH will be considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with safety management software.
