Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join our team and contribute to the safety and well-being of our workplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and overseeing all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) within the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and guidelines, as well as company policies, to foster a safe and healthy work environment. The HSE Officer will initiate, coordinate, and manage proactive safety measures, conduct regular audits, and lead incident investigations to prevent future occurrences. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective HSE policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes.
  • Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure the application of safety best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of safety-related incidents and corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with legal regulations and adjust policies as necessary.
  • Facilitate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and exercises.
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends and recommend preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for safety certifications and inspections.
  • Stay informed on the latest HSE trends and integrate applicable practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety through effective communication and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HSE role within a similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and safety meetings effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Certification, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, is highly desirable.
