Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team. As an HSE Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, performing risk assessments, and providing training to enhance safety awareness among employees. Your expertise in identifying potential hazards and your proactive approach to addressing them will be crucial in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety processes and improvements.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop preventative measures.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to safety inspections and audits.
  • Monitor the effective implementation of safety standards and practices on-site.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training sessions.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through effective communication and education.
  • Analyze data and trends to recommend changes to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Certification in HSE, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or similar credentials, preferred.
