Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor position is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of a facility while leading the housekeeping team to ensure excellent service. We are searching for an energetic and detail-oriented individual to oversee housekeeping operations and uphold high standards of tidiness and hygiene within our establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the housekeeping staff, managing daily operations, ensuring inventory of cleaning supplies, and coordinating with other departments to provide an exceptional experience for our guests or clients. A keen eye for detail, the ability to multitask, and effective communication skills are essential. This role requires someone who can motivate their team to achieve optimal performance and exceed expectations in maintaining our facility's pristine condition.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
  • Schedule and assign daily cleaning tasks to staff members aligned with operational needs.
  • Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and order additional stock as needed.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations team to address facility issues promptly.
  • Prepare and implement cleaning procedures and checklists for housekeeping processes.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all housekeeping activities.
  • Create and maintain records of housekeeping activities and staff performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules for peak and off-peak hours.
  • Ensure the application of sustainable practices within the housekeeping operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a hospitality or service industry is required.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a diverse team efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and guests professionally.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
