Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within our facilities. Tasked with leading a dedicated team of housekeeping staff, the Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that all areas under their supervision meet company cleanliness and operational standards. They are responsible for coordinating schedules, providing training, and performing regular inspections to ensure workplace sanitation and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage daily assignments for housekeeping staff to optimize efficiency.
  • Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels for operations.
  • Address and resolve any complaints or issues with service encountered by guests.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with other departments to support operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to motivate staff and encourage excellence.
  • Organize and lead periodic deep cleaning projects to maintain facility quality.
  • Report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs to maintain property standards.
  • Implement and monitor checklists to ensure cleaning tasks meet established protocols.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding processes to recruit high-caliber housekeeping staff.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within a similar environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines related to housekeeping operations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
