The Cleaning Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment in designated areas. This includes cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors.
- Dust and wipe surfaces, including desks, counters, windows, and furniture.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners.
- Clean windows and glass doors, ensuring they are streak-free.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches, etc.).
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as requested (e.g., carpet cleaning, window washing, floor stripping and waxing).
- General Maintenance:
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks, or equipment problems) to the supervisor.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working order and report any malfunctions
Restocking:
- Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Restock cleaning supplies and inform management when supplies are low.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Skills:
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment effectively.
- Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
