PROJECT ENGINEER – INTERIOR FIT-OUT

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in interior fit-out and construction projects to join our team in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring project execution from the technical and site perspective, ensuring that works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and client requirements.

This position is open ONLY to candidates who are available for immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day project activities for interior fit-out projects from commencement through completion and handover.
  
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, designers, architects, MEP consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  
• Supervise and monitor site activities to ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of project activities.
  
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, technicians, and site teams.
  
• Review subcontractor shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, and RFIs.
  
• Coordinate material procurement and ensure materials are delivered to site according to project requirements and approved specifications.
  
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and approved materials.
  
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical, quality, and coordination issues.
  
• Coordinate with consultants and clients during inspections and ensure comments and observations are addressed promptly.
  
• Monitor MEP installation and ensure proper coordination with civil, architectural, and interior fit-out works.
  
• Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQs, quantities, material requirements, and project variations.
  
• Monitor project costs and highlight any potential variations or additional works to the Project Manager.
  
• Assist in preparing variation orders, site instructions, and technical documentation.
  
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover activities.
  
• Prepare and follow up on snagging lists and ensure timely closure of all outstanding works.
  
• Ensure proper project handover, including as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, and other required documentation.
  
• Ensure that all site activities comply with applicable health and safety requirements.
  
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure a safe and organized working environment.
  
• Provide technical support and resolve site-related engineering and coordination issues.
  
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned project activities and deliverables.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering field.
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience in interior fit-out / construction projects.
  
• Strong experience in UAE interior fit-out projects is highly preferred.
  
• Experience working with fit-out contractors, interior design companies, or construction companies.
