Heavy Bus Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate the heavy bus safely adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as necessary.
• Monitor road conditions and adjust driving based on weather or road conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus at all times.
• Ensure that all passengers are provided with a safe and comfortable ride.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle passenger inquiries professionally.
• Maintain a log of daily duties and any incidents that occur during shifts.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure passenger safety.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors as required.
• Implement emergency procedures in the event of an accident or adverse situation.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
• Proven experience as a heavy bus driver or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of local and regional road networks.
• Strong commitment to safety and observing safe-driving practices.
• Physical ability to assist passengers and perform vehicle checks.
• Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
