Heavy Bus Driver 12J25

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Bus Driver with a valid 12J25 driving license to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Drive heavy buses on designated routes and transfer passengers promptly.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of passenger counts, incidents, and engine hours.
• Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and company driving policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers for route updates and passenger advisories.
• Assist passengers with boarding, deboarding, and handling of luggage as necessary.
• Utilize GPS systems and navigation tools to optimize driving efficiency and time.
• Resolve passenger inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain a clean and presentable bus interior and exterior consistently.
• Manage route schedules and adjust driving to meet time constraints and safety.
• Report accidents, mechanical issues, or passenger misconduct to superiors promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety workshops as required by the employer.

Requirements

• Valid 12J25 driver's license with a clean driving record necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required.
• Minimum of three years experience in heavy bus driving preferred.
• Strong understanding of local and federal transportation regulations needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with passengers and staff.
• Ability to perform simple vehicle maintenance and inspections required.
• Proficient in using GPS and standard office navigation software tools.
• Strong ability to remain calm and behave professionally in stressful situations.
• Completed a certified driver safety program or equivalent training preferred.
