Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to various destinations according to a specified schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior for passenger comfort and safety.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, especially those with mobility challenges.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and speed limits for safe driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and relay necessary route information.
• Monitor weather and traffic conditions to plan safe and efficient routes.
• Respond professionally to passenger inquiries and concerns while on duty.
• Manage unexpected situations and emergencies with calm and effective action.
• Follow company procedures for logging driving hours and maintaining trip records.
• Participate in regular training and safety sessions to remain knowledgeable.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the service department promptly.

Requirements

• Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license with a passenger transport endorsement.
• Minimum of three years of experience operating heavy passenger buses.
• Strong knowledge of road safety practices and traffic regulations.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and make quick decisions.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification preferred.
