About The Job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Engineering Department, the Guest Room Technician is responsible to operate, maintains and repairs all aspects of the hotels system, in accordance with EPH standards to achieve optimum product quality standards. The Guest Room Technician reports to the Assistant Manager - Guest Room Maintenance.

As a Guest Room Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Respond promptly to all emergency situations, including fire alarms, water leakages, and electrical short circuits, in line with departmental standards
• Ensure a response time of 10–15 minutes for all urgent maintenance requests, including guest-related issues
• Attend to and complete all unscheduled and preventive maintenance tasks within assigned timelines
• Carry out repairs and maintenance in guestrooms and public areas, including electrical, low voltage, air-conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance works
• Maintain the workshop and related areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times
• Strictly observe safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for self and others
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned by the Supervisor
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments to support functions, promotions, and special events
  
  

• Previous experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus
• Diploma / ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification
• Ability to solve engineering problems using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles
• Familiarity with hotel engineering operations and preventive maintenance systems
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a guest-oriented environment
