Graduate Sustainability Engineer

Overview

A Graduate Sustainability Engineer (Emirati National Only) supports sustainability assessments, environmental analysis, green building design, and resource‑efficiency initiatives across projects. Working under senior sustainability specialists, they contribute to research, data analysis, certification documentation, and implementation of sustainability strategies for buildings, infrastructure, and urban development.

Your role

Sustainability Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in conducting energy modelling, carbon footprint assessments, and environmental impact studies.
• Support preparation of sustainability reports, life‑cycle assessments (LCA), and resource‑efficiency analyses.
• Contribute to net‑zero and decarbonization strategies for projects.
  
  

Green Building Certifications

• Support documentation for LEED, BREEAM, WELL, IGBC, GRIHA, or other sustainability rating systems.
• Coordinate with project teams to collect data and evidence required for certification.
• Assist in developing sustainability compliance plans.
  
  

Design & Technical Support

• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and planners to integrate sustainable design principles.
• Support calculations for energy performance, daylighting, water efficiency, and building material optimization.
• Contribute to sustainability guidelines and design reviews.
  
  

Data Collection & Analysis

• Gather and analyse project data on energy usage, materials, waste, emissions, and water consumption.
• Develop dashboards, spreadsheets, and tools to track sustainability metrics.
• Conduct research on innovative sustainable technologies and materials.
  
  

Coordination & Communication

• Work with internal teams and external consultants to support sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare presentations, graphic summaries, and technical notes for stakeholders.
• Participate in sustainability workshops and client meetings.
  
  

About You

• Knowledge of sustainability standards & frameworks (LEED, BREEAM, IGBC, GRIHA, WELL).
• Familiarity with LCA tools (OneClick LCA, SimaPro).
• Good understanding of building physics, environmental engineering, and climate-responsive design.
• Strong analytical, data interpretation, and documentation skills.
