The Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Environment & Sustainability team in the Middle East and contribute to strategic sustainability and climate change projects.

The successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:

Sustainability

  • Collect, analyse, and manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data
  • Assist in preparing sustainability strategies and action plans
  • Support with carbon foot printing
  • Contribute to sustainability reporting (e.g. GRI, ISSB/TCFD, CDP, CSRD where applicable)
  • Conduct research on sustainability standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Assist with life cycle assessments (LCA), resource efficiency, and circular economy studies
  • Support materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure sustainability requirements are understood and implemented.


Climate Change

  • Support with the development of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories (Scope 1, 2, and 3) in line with applicable protocols and standards
  • Collect, clean, and analyse emission and energy data
  • Assist in climate risk and opportunity assessments (physical and transition risks)
  • Support TCFD / ISSB / IFRS S2 aligned assessments and reporting
  • Help develop decarbonisation pathways and net-zero strategies
  • Research climate scenarios
  • Track and summarise climate policies and regulations
  • Prepare briefings and technical notes for clients and internal teams
  • Conduct background research on:
  • Climate science
  • Energy transition technologies
  • Nature-based solutions


General responsibilities include:

  • Take meeting notes and track actions
  • Prepare technical reports, client presentations, and dashboards
  • Support senior members of the team with proposal writing, tender responses, and project coordination
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client outputs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support quality assurance processes
  • Develop professional skills through training, mentoring, and continuous learning


Desired Experience And Qualities

  • Relevant degree in sustainability, environment, climate change, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and ESG reporting standards (GRI, TCFD etc).
  • 2 - 3 years of post-qualification experience in sustainability / climate change consulting or related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and well-organised.
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
  • Full driving licence.
