Job Description:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-driven Government Approvals Specialist to join our engineering consultancy team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing regulatory submissions, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring timely approvals for engineering design and infrastructure projects. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with Abu Dhabi’s governing bodies and facilitating project execution without delays.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise directly with local authorities such as ADM, ADDC, Civil Defense, DOT, and other relevant agencies to obtain required approvals and NOCs for project designs and documentation.
  • Coordinate and track the submission of drawings, permits, and related documentation through platforms like MePS, e-Services, and other Abu Dhabi-specific portals.
  • Interpret and apply applicable codes, regulations, and procedural guidelines from various government entities.
  • Work closely with internal design, planning, and project management teams to ensure that all required authority documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Monitor the status of submissions and address any authority comments or resubmissions promptly to avoid project delays.
  • Maintain organized records of all correspondence, submissions, approvals, and related regulatory materials.
  • Provide periodic updates to senior management and project teams on submission statuses and expected timelines.

Job Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant UAE experience in an engineering consultancy environment, preferably with exposure to Abu Dhabi-based projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local authority requirements and approval workflows in the UAE.
  • High proficiency in using MePS, e-Services, and government portals related to engineering submissions.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple authority submissions simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current UAE regulations and municipal policies governing engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Can speak english and arabic is a must
