What You Will Be Doing

The GIS Engineer is responsible for managing and analyzing geospatial data related to investigation and refurbishment of sewage and wastewater networks. This role supports planning, maintenance, and operations by updating existing and / or producing accurate digital maps, reports, and data visualizations.

1- Develop and maintain GIS databases for sewage and wastewater networks.

2- Integrate updated data into GIS database after network repair / refurbishment.

3- Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data from various sources including GPS, remote sensing, and field surveys.

4- Conduct spatial analysis to support maintenance planning, asset management, and project execution.

5- Maintain, update, and manage geodatabases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

6- Support the operation and maintenance teams with data visualization and spatial insights.

7- Provide GIS support during planning, rehabilitation, and emergency response activities.

8- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to inform decision-making.

9- Troubleshoot GIS-related issues and apply best practices for system optimization and performance.

10- Ensure compliance with data governance, safety, and confidentiality standards

Who We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Geography, Engineering or related field.

From 4 to 5 years in sewage network infrastructure mapping and analysis.

Abu Dhabi resident is a must.

Proficient in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Map 3D).

Skilled in spatial analysis, data integration, and mapping

Familiarity with GPS and remote sensing technologies

Knowledge of geodatabases and relational database management systems (RDBMS)

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to coordinate with engineering, operation, and maintenance departments.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills
