Job Description

The General Maintenance Supervisor 26N25 plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and functionality of various facilities and equipment within an organization. This position requires a dynamic individual who is well-versed in preventive maintenance systems, emergency repairs, and team leadership. As a General Maintenance Supervisor, you would be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed effectively and timely. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining the structural integrity and safety standards of the facilities. This role demands a hands-on approach with a strong strategic mindset to optimize maintenance workflows and minimize downtime. A successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge in building systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all facility equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure effective external service management.
  • Inspect maintenance and repair work to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance projects to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, logs, and reports for future reference.
  • Lead and train a team of maintenance technicians to enhance their technical skills.
  • Manage the inventory of maintenance materials and supplies to ensure availability.
  • Develop strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Provide technical support to address equipment failures and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with organizational goals and policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance for professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in building maintenance or a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse maintenance team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with staff and external partners.
