General Accountant 03N25

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented General Accountant (03N25) to join our finance team. Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
• Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and budget forecasts.
• Maintain and examine the records of government agencies to ensure payment of taxes and other obligations.
• Provide guidance on proper systems management, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
