Job Summary

Drive exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering outstanding food and beverage service in a fast-paced, high-service environment. Ensure a clean, safe dining experience while proactively providing menu recommendations, upselling, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You will uphold strict hygiene and safety standards, manage dining operations efficiently, and actively support sales goals through engaging guest interactions and upselling strategies. Responsibilities

Guest Engagement & Service Excellence

  • Greets guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a personalized welcome and table setup as per standard procedures.
  • Actively listens to guest requests and provides attentive, culturally sensitive service throughout dining experiences.
  • Upsells beverage selections pre- and post-meal, along with complementary sides or special offerings aligned with company promotions.
  • Relays food orders swiftly and accurately to the kitchen while adhering to sequence protocols for prompt guest satisfaction.
  • Handles guest inquiries about the menu with expertise, offering tailored recommendations based on dining trends and preferences.
  • Resolves guest complaints courteously, applying guest recovery solutions in line with company policies to ensure positive resolution.
  • Manages and operates cash registers (POS systems) professionally, ensuring accurate transactions and cash reconciliation per company standards.

Operational & Food Safety Compliance

  • Conducts pre-shift opening and post-shift closing routines meticulously, maintaining outlet cleanliness and readiness.
  • Implements standardized housekeeping practices, including restocking condiments, sanitizing equipment, and mopping floors.
  • Complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, adhering to HACCP protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Successfully completes essential food safety training and participates in annual certification to uphold industry regulations.
  • Collaborates with the warehouse team to ensure efficient stock restocking and inventory management as required.

Revenue & Business Growth

  • Actively promotes full product knowledge of menu-driven and supplementary offerings to encourage trial and consumption.
  • Manages waitlists and guest queuing systems to optimize table turnover and maximize dining capacity.
  • Supports departmental and company objectives by contributing to performance benchmarks, customer satisfaction metrics, and revenue targets.
  • Leverages point-of-sale data and reporting to identify selling opportunities and improve upselling strategies.
  • Assists in cross-functional tasks such as shelf stocking, cleaning, and event support to enhance overall team efficiency.
  • Implements marketing initiatives, including menu promotions and loyalty programs, to drive guest engagement and sales growth.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Collaborates seamlessly with colleagues to ensure harmonious service delivery and cross-cover support during peak periods.
  • Treats each guest as an individual by actively engaging, building rapport, and personalizing service interactions.
  • Engages in continuous team training, performance discussions, and competency assessments as part of professional development.
  • Represents the brand with integrity, upholding dress codes, grooming standards, and professional conduct at all times.
  • Participates in collective problem-solving sessions to streamline operations and enhance the guest experience based on feedback.
  • Attends emergency drills to ensure guest safety and readiness in emergency situations.
  • Mediates lost & found incidents while following company policies to support both guest and company interests.

Qualifications

Essential

  • High School Diploma or equivalent as a minimum educational requirement.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for customer service and guest relations.
  • Keen attention to detail, particularly in food safety, hygiene, and financial transaction accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a proactive, service-driven attitude.
  • Cash handling expertise with prior POS system operation experience.
  • Experience in suggestive selling or menu-driven sales techniques.
  • Commitment to upholding company standards, values, and standard operating procedures rigorously.
  • Capacity to maintain physical endurance in a fast-paced, standing environment.

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related fields.
  • 1 year of experience with high-end service in 4-star or 5-star hotels, including banquet or upscale dining experiences.
  • Proven background with a minimum of 2 years in food and beverage roles.
  • Additional training in food safety certifications beyond basic EFST protocols.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to assist multilingual guests efficiently.
  • Banquet service experience or familiarity with formal dinner setups and service styles.
  • Prior participation in upscale event service or corporate catering projects.
