Floor Supervisor - Manufacturing 27N25

The Floor Supervisor in our manufacturing unit is responsible for overseeing the daily operations on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will ensure that production schedules are met timely and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Floor Supervisor will directly manage the floor staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement within production processes and managing resources effectively to achieve optimal output. As a dynamic leader, the Supervisor must foster a collaborative and high-performance culture among workers, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate manufacturing staff to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies on the production floor.
• Oversee the setup and organization of equipment to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their skills and competencies.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory management to prevent shortages.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control measures are executed properly.
• Implement and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization.
• Ensure accurate reporting of production data and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Address and resolve worker issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repair and upkeep of machinery.
• Communicate daily with senior management regarding workflow, issues, and team progress.
• Organize shift schedules and manage employee attendance to maintain consistent coverage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and quality control standards in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software and familiar with data reporting tools.
