A Fit Out Draftsman and Joinery Detailer is sought to contribute expertise in the development and execution of interior design plans and detailed joinery drawings. This role is pivotal in the architecture and interior design industry, focusing on translating design concepts into technical specifications that builders can use. You will collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure that all plans are viable and align with client specifications. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed interior fit out plans and joinery drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborate with designers to translate conceptual design drafts into technical plans.
• Review architectural blueprints and verify dimensions and specifications for accuracy.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure design feasibility and resolve any site-related issues.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify compliance with technical drawings.
• Provide technical advice and solutions during the construction and installation phases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials and construction techniques relevant to joinery.
• Modify and adapt drawings based on client feedback and project requirements.
• Ensure that all drafting work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Produce comprehensive joinery construction documents, detailing materials and methods.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to specify materials and equipment needed for projects.
• Train and mentor junior draftsmen in best practices and the use of drafting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant drafting programs.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in fit out and joinery detail drafting.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with architects, designers, and contractors.
