Job Description

The Financial Controller 31O25 plays a crucial role in managing financial operations and overseeing the financial health of the organization. This position requires a high level of precision and responsibility, as well as the ability to handle complex financial systems and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The Financial Controller is responsible for directing all aspects of accounting operations, including individual and consolidated financial statements, internal controls, and financial analysis. Working closely with the executive team, the Financial Controller helps shape the financial strategy and provides critical input into decision-making processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about contributing to the financial success of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and manage all aspects of the organizational budget and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze financial results and provide insights into areas for operational improvements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, annual audits, and tax filings.
  • Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide financial analysis support for strategic initiatives and client negotiations.
  • Train and mentor subordinate accounting staff to enhance team performance and capabilities.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives and identify efficiencies in financial operations.
  • Assist in the development and execution of financial strategies for growth and stability.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through comprehensive risk management strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA preferred, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial role essential.
  • Proficiency with financial software and advanced MS Excel skills necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Outstanding leadership and managerial skills in a financial management context.
