Job Description

As a Financial Controller, you will take on an essential role in our finance department, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations and reports. This position entails a combination of strategic financial oversight and meticulous transactional management. You will offer insights and analysis to help inform business decisions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and lead our team in implementing effective financial policies and procedures. Your expertise will help in maintaining the integrity of financial information, as well as optimizing financial performance and operational procedures throughout the organization. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can leverage their financial acumen to enhance fiscal responsibility and strategic planning within our company.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements and analysis.
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
  • Review and endorse tax and financial filings prepared by accounting staff for accuracy.
  • Supervise accounting personnel and provide appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with auditors to support annual audit processes and responses.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance financial operations efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive management teams regularly.
  • Implement strategic projects related to financial technology upgrades and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial management roles.
  • Professional certifications like CPA or CMA are highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a commitment to personnel development.
