Job Description

The Financial Controller is a pivotal role within the finance team of any organization, playing a critical role in overseeing the financial health and reporting functions. As a Financial Controller, you will be entrusted with managing and guiding the finance team, ensuring adherence to standard accounting principles, and overseeing all financial planning and budgeting activities. You'll be expected to deliver accurate and timely financial statements, lead the implementation of financial systems, and provide strategic insights that drive business decisions. This position not only requires a strong grasp of accounting principles but also demands excellent leadership and strategic skills to facilitate the company's growth by providing crucial financial guidance.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports or statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee tax function, including strategy, planning, and compliance processes.
  • Provide leadership in developing financial strategies to support business objectives.
  • Evaluate and report on capital expenditure and investment analysis.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit processes.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in presenting reports to board members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance management roles.
  • Proven experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
