Job Description

A Financial Analyst plays an integral role in the financial planning and analysis of an organization. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support decision-making processes. They provide insights and forecasts to help guide strategic planning and achieve financial objectives. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. A successful Financial Analyst is resourceful, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Conduct benchmarking and process analysis for financial performance improvement.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Perform market research, data mining, and competitor analysis.
  • Evaluate new projects, investments, and other financial ventures to assess viability.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to support strategic initiatives and budgeting processes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders detailing financial insights.
  • Monitor and report on critical financial indicators and trends impacting the company.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools.
  • Identify and develop solutions to streamline financial workflows and processes.
  • Collaborate with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in similar financial roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills to present financial data concisely and effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with financial analysis software.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and independently.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations is advantageous.
  • CFA, CPA, or relevant qualification in finance will be a plus.
