Finance Section Head

Job Description

• Oversee financial operations to align with organizational strategy, policies, and accounting standards.
• Manage budgeting processes and submit reports for review and approval.
• Supervise investment and revenue activities for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead short- and long-term financial planning to ensure sustainability and meet strategic goals.
• Ensure accurate recording and documentation of financial transactions and fixed asset management.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet obligations.
• Oversee compliance with accounting standards, policies, and tax regulations.
• Coordinate financial activities across departments and provide financial advice on projects and contracts.
• Advise on financial strategy, revenue implications, and risk management.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to management and stakeholders.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of financial staff, ensuring adherence to policies and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance and effectiveness.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct manager.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Professional experience ranging from 6 to 8 years in accounting, financial management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in financial affairs within the academic or educational sector, preferably with well-known institutions, is preferred
• Professional certifications in financial management such as CFA, CPA, or CMA are considered added value.
